Encounters On a Hike to Find a Gold Mine

Here is another article fresh off the press. If you are into prospecting for gold, hiking to survey areas for possible gold mining activity may be part of your regimen. I do it often. And in Arizona, there are a ton of old mom and pop mines that provide an opportunity to go back in time. Besides evidence of a lot of work, there are frequently signs of the old activity. I find old mining equipment (of which there is a lot laying around in Arizona desert and highlands) a fascinating find. So here's a new piece that might provide some entertainment.
