Washington Gold and Silver Mine Tour Mid June Through Labor Day

In the late 1870's, hundreds of mines were burrowed into the hills of California in Summit County.
With 5 shafts and 10000 feet of underground workings, the Washington Mine was a big gold producer. The address is 465 Illinois Gulch Road just off Boreas Pass Road. More directions to the site are provided at the address below.

Hours of Operation:  11am to 3pm, Tuesday - Sunday (Mid - June – Labor Day)

The information at this site is very interesting.  I always like to investigate areas when I go on vacation. A side trip to a mine is great recreation for me.
