Superstition Mountain Treasure Hunters Gather at Prospector Park for Breakfast and Metal Detecting

On August 18, 2013, the Superstition Mountain Treasure Hunters club met at Prospector Park in Apache Junction, Arizona. We had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, rolls, tortillas, hash browns, and more. I have included this to show how much fun one can have in a prospecting club. You can find a lot of friends and engage in outings for the purpose of finding gold! Our club has many claims, some of which are in the Yavapai County Bradshaw Mountain area famous for its historical gold. There is still plenty of placer there. If you have thought about joining a club, just do it. I bet it will be something you will be glad you did.
At the breakfast, we had a half hour metal detecting contest (it was hot) with prizes awarded to the winners.
This is a shot of some of the guys hunting for targets.
